14 December 2018- IULI’s annual Christmas Celebration was a heartfelt experience for all its participants. The religious division of the Student executive board organized the event, with Yehezkiel Triputra from Aviation Management 2018 as the head. IULI is also very grateful to our Parents Association who also supported the event. It was held at IULI Campus I, the Breeze.
This year, IULI invited the children of the Mekar Lestari orphanage. It was a beautiful night of music and fun, but also sharing and caring. The event started off with an opening speech by Yehezkiel, and was followed by a performance of Christmas songs by the IULI Music Community. After that Dr (cand) Irma M Nawangwulan, MBA, a lecturer of the Hotel & Tourism Management, gave a religious speech, which was very inspiring and motivating for the children.
After a very satisfying dinner, the children of the Mekar Lestari Orphanage also gave impressive performances of singing, dancing and hoola hoop. Afterwards IULI students gave out Christmas presents for the children. The celebration kept going as the students and the children danced and sang together and had lots of fun.
The event ended with the handing out of goody bags for the children and their caretakers. This Christmas Celebration was not just a night of sharing food and gifts, but also of love and care.
