The Senate of IULI University held a Plenary Session with a single agenda, namely the Screening of Candidates for Rector (PLT) of IULI University for the 2024-2025 Period, at the IULI University Room, BSD City, Tangerang Selatan, 11 November 2024. It is the period for Rector Tutun Nugraha, BASc., MASc., PhD, who took his resignation to IULI Foundation and Senat University. Hence, IULI University needs a new rector to continue his period. Previously, there were three prospective candidates who the IULI University Senate had appointed. In this screening process, each candidate is allowed to explain their willingness first to become a new Rector (PLT). The next process is the explanation of their respective vision, mission and work program, which then continues with the selection process according to the Senate’s agreement.
The result of the selection was announced on 26 November 2024 and the declaration of the new Rector was declared by Dr. (c). RA. Afera R Wijayanti, M.Ak., is the chairman of the Senate University, and The New Rector of IULI University is Dr. Rar., net., Topo Suprihadi. Afera said, “It is hoped that the future rector will be humanistic, able to embrace and most importantly, be able to communicate well with the academic community, foundation, including lecturers, staff, and students, all of whom have the same crucial roles. This will allow to establish connections with external parties, with all existing stakeholders, and develop these connections to national and international levels”
The old rector of IULI University, Tutun Nugraha, PhD expressed his Gratitude that the process of selecting potential candidates for Chancellor has been carried out and its implementation has been accompanied by good work, and changing Rector is a common occurrence on campuses abroad and even in Indonesia. “I am ready to work with this new responsibility with all IULI University members”, firmly said Dr. Rer., net.Topo Suprihadi is a new rector. “Congratulations, Mr Rector!” (red: afw).
