Aswin Andika Putra, S.B.A, an International Business Administration (IBA) student who just graduated and cumlaude, became the best graduate of the 2023-2024 period at IULI University and continued his master’s at National Formosa University (NFU) Taiwan by following the 3+2 program in IULI, which is 3 years of studying at IULI University and 2 years at NFU, so that in 5 years he will be able to complete his bachelor’s and master at that time. At the end of 2024, Aswin was invited to attend the “Finance Hybrid Conference 2024”, which will be held at Menlo College, Atherton, California, USA, in the San Francisco Bay area, or Silicon Valley. The conference theme is “Technological Change: Fintech & Artificial Intelligence”.
Aswin’s paper that was accepted and presented in one of the parallel sessions on the topic of Bitcoin is entitled “Is Bitcoin Developing to be a Risk-on or Risk-off Asset: A Time Series and Comparative Analysis with Gold, US Stocks, and DXY”. This will also be his master’s thesis later. The topic of this paper continues from a college assignment that was held with his fellow students, Kiki, Agy, Naufal and friends in a seminar and then continued his pre-thesis and thesis, which had focused on finance, all of which were supervised by IULI lecturer Dr(c). RA. Afera Wijayanti., M.Ak. “From the early semester, Aswin has indeed shown himself as a talented and smart student, many project activities with me and several other lecturers were successful under his leadership, so he is indeed worthy of achieving this,” added Afera. Aswin was in the USA for about 6 days while travelling to Google HQ, Intel, Apple Park, & Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Hopefully, Aswin’s story will inspire other IULI University students.
