15 March 2017 – Ir. Hermawan Syahrul, MM, Vice President of GMF-AeroAsia Garuda, gave a guest lecture for IULI students. He outlined the history of MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) of aircraft from the early years of the Garuda station at Kemayoran Airport until the modern MRO activities by GMF-AeroAsia. He showed there are a lot of derivative activities and possibilities for the young generation as the aircraft industry expands.

Pak Hermawan showed how the younger generation would participate at the levels of working, managing, and leading. Bachelor graduates from IULI would be at the management level after some experience at the working level for at least 2 years.
The students were very enthusiastic during the question and answer session and got good answers from Pak Hermawan. This guest lecture motivated the students to pursue their passion in the future.
