From Thursday, October 17, 2019 until
Saturday, October 19, 2019, 25 students of IULI (International University
Liaison Indonesia) from all faculties and majors participated in the Habibie
Festival, an event held each year by PT Orbit Ventura Indonesia, which focuses
on facilitating a better understanding of how science and technology can
improve the lives of citizens in developing countries.
The
festival itself offered a useful experience of science, technology &
innovation by giving visitors a chance to look, touch & feel technology
& innovation through the various activities provided. The festival was
divided into three main themes over three days:
day one was about the IEF International Youth Forum, day two was about
the Indonesia Education Forum, and day three was about continuing the legacy of
Eyang, our Bapak Teknologi-Almarhoum,
Prof.Dr.Ing.H.B.J.Habibie.
Students of IULI helped in this prestigious event and were assigned all sorts
of jobs and assignments as volunteers. A good example was where they worked as
MCs for the event with the theme of Indonesia Education Forum; another example was where our students helped
to organize different workshops; and yet
another example was where students were
assigned as photographers to take pictures of the event.
