7 August 2017 – The Habibie Festival 2017 officially started on 7 August 2017 at the Jiexpo Kemayoran and will last to seven days. In this second year of the event, IULI students were trusted to be involved as part of the committee for this festival. The opening ceremony was held with many guests and attendees. Dr.-Ing. Ilham A. Habibie, MBA, as chairman and founder of Berkarya Indonesia opened the Habibie Festival 2017 by signing a MOU with Badan Ekonomi Kreatif Indonesia in the form of cooperation for creative and innovative technology programs. This event was also attended by the 3rd president of the Republic of Indonesia, Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie.
After the opening, the event continuing with a panel discussion for which a IULI student had the role of MC. The discussion panel’s theme was #yourfuturejob “Masa Depan Industri Penerbangan Indonesia”. The panel talked about the role and contribution of aerospace industry components in developing the national aerospace industry in Indonesia. The talkshow were moderated by Agung Sarwana, as President Director of PT. Ilthabi Aerospace Group, and six another distinguished panelists, mainly professional and academics. Students and visitors were all excited on the first day of the festival.
