On Friday, the 18th May 2018, IULI organized a breaking the fast event inviting children from the D1 and MI Bendungan Sempora Orphanage. It was a delightful event that started off with a reading from the Koran by one of our students. Our co-founder Prof. Peter Pscheid and our rector Dr. Ir. Tutuko Prajogo MSMfgE were also present to give their respective welcoming speeches. Later on the children from the orphanage presented us with a little performance that was followed by a Tausiyah by Dr. Ir. Satiri, MM, our Management lecturer. The event ended with the Maghrib prayer, breaking the fast, and closing speeches by Prof. Pscheid and Dr. Ir. Tutuko Prajogo MSMfgE along with the handing out of goody bags. It was a pleasant evening filled with joy and laughter and it also emphasized the importance of giving and sharing in the holy month of Ramadan.
