On Monday, 20th of January 2020, the Rector of IULI, Dr.Ir. Tutuko Prajogo, MSMfg, and the Director of PT Merpati Training Center (MTC), Mr. Taufan Yuniar, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for co-operation in the field of aviation training for IULI students. The co-operation aims to empower IULI students with a professional license required to enter the aviation industry.
MTC is a subsidiary of PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines which provides a wide
range of aviation training. It includes the Merpati Pilot School, Flight
Operation Officer (FOO) training, a Flight Attendance Course, a Basic Aircraft
Maintenance Course (BAMC) and an Airline Staff Course. All training is
certified by the Indonesian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). MTC
headquarters are in Surabaya but it also has other training locations in Jakarta,
Yogyakarta and Palopo.
After this MoU, both institutions will co-ordinate to form a joint program that enables IULI students to fulfill the training requirements while they are studying in IULI. Thus, the students will get a benefit from the time spent and the cost required. The program will start with FOO and BAMC training. Hopefully, in the Open House event on 22nd of February 2020, we can give more information about this program. See you there.
