BSD City, February 22, 2020 – International University Liaison Indonesia (IULI) held an Open House with the theme “Educating Innovative Leaders for the Better Future of Indonesia” at the IULI campus, The Breeze, BSD City.
The event was open to the public and was attended by the representatives of the IULI Foundation and several companies that have collaborated with IULI. IULI also welcomed parents and prospective students, as well as several representatives of high-school teachers from the Greater Jakarta area, On this occasion, IULI introduced their excellent programs and testimonies from students and alumn
Dr. Ir. Tutuko Prajogo, MSMfgE, the rector of IULI, in his opening speech, said: “The IULI International Program provides opportunities for students to gain experience in studying and living abroad. These opportunities provide additional value, such as mastering foreign languages, learning about new cultures, experiencing a new environment, obtaining international academic exposure and making global networks which will encourage our students to innovate and become successful leaders who will make the Indonesian people proud. “
On this occasion also, IULI, represented by Dr. Ir. Tutuko Prajogo, MSMfgE, as the rector of IULI, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Merpati Training Center (MTC), represented by its President Director, Mr.Taufan Yuniar. The IULI rector also introduced IULI’s latest international partner, the National Formosa University, Taiwan and was pleased to introduce Prof. Frank C Lin, Director of the NFU Office of International Affairs, as a guest speaker.
After, the rector’s speech, Dr-Ing. Sven Rost, as the representative of TU Ilmenau, a partner university of IULI and designated IULI vice rector for Internationalization, emphasized the benefits that will be obtained by students who study at IULI. He said, “We understand that parents are always looking for the best educational program for their children. Therefore, IULI always ensures that we will maintain, expand and strengthen cooperation networks with other international universities abroad. In fact, one of the benefits of our excellent programs is that in 4 years students get the opportunity to get an International Joint Degree or Double Degree. These students will spend one year in Germany for research, lectures and, then, internships and thesis in the final semester”. Through these programs, students who receive an education at IULI will get wider employment opportunities,”
After the speeches and Q&A session, prospective students and their parents had the opportunity to discuss with IULI faculty staff the prospects for study programs that they were interested in.
