Food Technology is an exciting field for those who have passion and interest in food processing and food manufacturingtechnology. In the program, students will beguided and equipped with the knowledge and skills, starting with the basic knowledge of sciences and engineering, up to their applications, that will bring them to understandthe concept of food manufacturing chains, starting from farm,to factories, to retail chains, and finally, tothe dining tablesoftheconsumers.Throughthe curriculum,students will also learntopics such as food safety, food microbiology, food sensory analysis, food storage/packaging technology, food nutrition, food fermentation,food product legislation/regulations, engineering economics, as well asinnovative new food products design and development. For further enrichment, students will also gainknowledge in biotechnology, nanotechnology, Indonesian herbal medicine, nutraceuticals and cosmeticsparticularly usingnatural products,and bioprocess technology, as well as safety protocols in manufacturing including the HACCP and cGMP. These will provide our graduates with stronger competitiveness to prepare them for future work, or as a new entrepreneur in food and related industries.

If you want to become a food service manager or food technologist, go for the Food Processing Technology study program. The food processing technology is the use of a chemical, microbiological, and physical set of methods to transform raw material into food and its transmutation into other forms of food. Food processing technology covers a variety of topics including food technology, food processing, food allergy, food biotechnology, food microbiology, food fortification, food safety, food addiction, and food nanotechnology. The purpose of this four-year Bachelor’s degree program is to learn skills and gain knowledge of the food industry to develop innovative food products and prepare the students as entrepreneurs in the food and related industries.
If we look back, there had been no advanced ways to preserve and process food. People preserved food only by dehydration and drying process. But, in the present era, food processing technologies have been evolved and make food more palatable, edible, and safe. We are offering the students a golden opportunity to study Food Processing Technology through this international Bachelor degree (4 years or 8 semesters) program. As one of our students, you will have the chance of doing research, gaining experience of studying or working in an internship in Germany. Our students learn modern food processing technology for the formation of the latest food stores and industry.
Studying Food processing technology, you will learn among other things how to preserve the food in such a way that its nutritional quality remains, how we can ensure the availability of seasonal food all over the year and increase the storage period of food. Food processing technology deals also with the question, how the quality, efficiency, taste as well as nutritional value of food can be improved in order to meet the demands of the growing population.
Here at IULI (International University Liaison Indonesia), we are offering a Bachelor’s degree in Food Processing Technology recognized in Indonesia (S1) as well as worldwide (German Bachelor of Science from the TU Ilmenau – Technische Universitat Ilmenau). The students will study for three years in Indonesia at IULI and one year in Germany (3+1 International program). We offer a unique and challenging experience to the students to start their international career after completion of this Bachelor’s degree. This degree is of international worth and you may go abroad for further studies for a Master’s and Doctorate degree to build a promising career of your own choice.
